Land o' Lincoln Camp Cherith rents the beautiful campground of Great Oaks Christian Camp and Retreat Center in Lacon, Illinois. The camp includes 105 acres of wooded hills and overlooks the Illinois River. There is a pond for canoeing and swimming, as well as all of the space we need to run our fun and exciting activity programs. Directions to Camp
(Area and detail maps below)

From Chicagoland:
  • Take I-55 South to I-80 West.
  • Take I-80 West to I-39 South.
  • Take I-39 South to SR 18 West.
  • Take SR 18 West to SR 26 South (.5 mile beyond SR 26 North intersection).
  • Take 26 South 4 miles to County Road 900N (there is a woodmill at the intersection).
  • Turn left (East) onto 900N and go to the end of the road.

From Peoria:
  • From I-74 take the SR 29 North exit.
  • Take SR 29 North through Chillicothe to SR 17 (at Sparland).
  • Go East (right) on SR 17 to SR 26 (first traffic light in Lacon).
  • Turn left (North) onto SR 26 and go 2 miles to County Road 900N (there is a woodmill at the corner).
  • Turn right (East) onto 900N and go to the end of the road.

From Springfield:
  • Take I-55 North to I-155 North.
  • Take I-155 North to I-74 West.
  • Take I-74 West to exit 95B (SR 116 East).
  • Take SR 116 East (direction is more North at this point) 5 miles (one mile beyond route 24 overpass) to SR 26 North.
  • Turn left onto SR 26 North and go aproximately 23 miles to route 17 (traffic light in Lacon).
  • Continue North on SR 26 and go 2 more miles to County Road 900N (there is a woodmill at the corner).
  • Turn right (East) onto 900N and go to the end of the road.
